Campaign Summary

Extensive press coverage of the Harvey’s Point brand and story across all media platforms. As the award winning Donegal Hotel’s profile grew, it continued to achieve extensive success winning multiple awards.

Over the years the PR focus grew from Leisure to focusing on the hotel’s renowned Food, profiling Head Chef Chris Mc Menamin, his team  along with Harvey’s Point Ambassador, TV Personality and Donegal Person of the Year, Noel Cunningham.

Coverage across the Irish Times, Independent, Examiner, Sunday Business Post, Sunday Times,  Magazine Titles and a myriad of digital platforms were all part of the excellent coverage secured.

Prior to 2019, telling the unique Donegal hospitality story of the founders of the award winning Harvey’s Point,  the Gysling Family, Deirdre Mc Glone and her Swiss born husband Marc Gysling was integral to the successful PR campaign. The Gysling Family sold Harvey’s Point in 2019 on its 30th birthday.


Brief

The initial brief was to profile Harvey’s Point as a luxury leisure break destination amongst the Irish Travel and Lifestyle Media Editors. The aim of growing brand awareness to broaden its high end leisure break client base in Dublin and regionally across Galway, the Midlands  and the West was a key priority. Traditionally Harvey’s Point had  a strong Northern Ireland customer base which it continues to retain today  while building loyalty throughout Ireland
